PURPOSE: To manufacture a reusable paper pallet by forming a spool-shaped support member comprising a strip of paper with an adhesive applied which is wound around a spool-shaped mandrel and by sticking it to a pallet surface sheet. CONSTITUTION: A paper web 15 is fed onto a table of a die cutter 18 by a nip roll feeder 17, a rectangular sheet 20 is cut, two elongated trapezoid strips 13 are formed by a crease 21, and patterns 23 of cuts 22 are provided along their rims. Then the two paper strips 13 are fed in opposite directions, and an adhesive film is applied on a surface of the strip 13 by an adhesive applying device 26 at an adhesive application/rolling position 25. The cut patterns 23 provided on the strips 13 allow both ends of an initial roll to open along a form of a shaft 27, forming support members with a flange. An end of the flange of the support member is coated by an appropriate adhesive, and an upper surface sheet is pressed, making a pallet. |
