摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To prevent generation of a roll slip, in the case of discrimination that a rolling condition is in a danger zone of causing a slip, by correcting the control output of a roll speed and setting the rate of change against time to be less than the ceiling value. CONSTITUTION: The thickness 6 of a rolled stock 3 on the exit side of a rolling mill 5 is made to be a target value 8 by controlling the roll speed of a work roll 1A-1E. The thickness 6 is detected by an instrument 5 for measuring thickness, compared with the target value 8 and sent to a feedback controller FB as a thickness deviation 10. The controller outputs the signal 13 for operating the mill motor 4 of a rolling standξ4 to a device 14 for evaluating a control signal. The evaluating device 14 judges whether a friction coefficient value is within a predetermined danger zone for a slip. If the coefficient value is judged within the danger zone, the speed of the mill motor 4 is changed by adjusting the signal 13 such that the absolute value of the rate of change against time in the output of the roll speed control signal is less than the prescribed ceiling value.</p>
