PURPOSE: To raise productivity by bettering wetting properties and adhesion of a fiber and resin and improving drastically an extracting speed, by a method wherein a modified polyolefin resin is infiltrated into a fiber bundle which is coated with a molten polyolefin resin and cooled under pressurization by making use of a specific nozzle. CONSTITUTION: A fiber bundle A is passed through an aqueous emulsion 1 of a polyolefin resin modified with an unsaturated carboxylic acid and the modified polyolefin resin is infiltrated into the fiber bundle A. Then after the fiber bundle treated by the preprocess is fibrillated and heated, it is led to a die 4 and the fiber is coated with a molten polyolefin resin. Then the fiber is pulled out of a nozzle whose tip is narrowed and cooled by a cooling tank 6. In this process, the fiber bundle A is widened by a spreader 2, a volatile component is removed by a drying furnace 3 and die heating part, the infiltrated modified polyolefin resin is made to melt, and surface adhesion between the fiber and modified polyolefin resin is accelerated. |
