PURPOSE: To obtain sterilizing composition stimulating the rooting of rice seedlings and enhancing the chemical effect on the application of probenazole to a rice seedling-raising box. CONSTITUTION: The characteristic of the sterilizing composition for the rice seedling-raising box comprises containing probenazole and one or more kinds of acids. The failure of the rooting of the rice seedling can be improved on the application of the probenazole to the rice seedling-raising box. The application amount of the probenazole to the rice seedling-raising box can be increased, and the stability and durability of the chemical effect can be enhanced to save the control of diseases in paddy fields.
