REFRACTORY FOR MOLTEN IRON CONTAINER

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a refractory for a molten iron container or pretreatment vessel for molten iron and having improved weak point of poor spalling resistance of conventional alumina-silicon carbide-carbon refractory especially in the case of using the refractory as a lining part or a part contacting with molten iron. CONSTITUTION: This refractory for molten iron container is composed mainly of an alumina-based refractory and a carbonaceous material. It uses coarse alumina grains surface-coated with a carbonaceous material as a part or total of the alumina-based refractory and the carbonaceous material.
