PURPOSE: To control exhaust pressure according to a load in an engine with supercharger, and to increase and decrease the quantity of EGR gas for reducing NOx and improving fuel consumption. CONSTITUTION: The first multistage valve 11 is provided in an exhaust recirculation passage connected to the exhaust passage 5 and intake passage 8 of a supercharger 4, and the second multistage valve 12 is provided in an exhaust pipe 10 connected to an exhaust gas turbine 4a, and a controller 17 is provided to display such function as in the case of large load, the opening of the first multistage valve 11 is controlled to be small, and the opening of the second multistage valve 12 is controlled to be large, and in the case of small load, the opening of the first multistage valve 11 is controlled to be large, and the opening of the second multistage valve 12 is controlled to be small. |
