PURPOSE: To increase the number of cut paper sheets to be carried in, shorten the distance between the paper sheets, and improve the conveyance performance of the cut paper sheets by controlling the conveyance start timing and stop conditions so that the cut paper sheets are not stopped in the paper sheet stop prohibited region. CONSTITUTION: A paper sheet stop prohibited region 13 prohibiting the stop of a cut paper sheet is set at part of a conveyance path 12. A conveying means 11 conveys the cut paper sheets along the conveyance path 12 and drives and stops the conveyance in response to instructions. A conveyance control means 14 allows the carry-in of a maximum number of cut paper sheets determined based on the paper type into the conveyance path 12 and instructs the drive and stop to the conveying means 11. The stop prohibited paper judging means 15 of the conveyance control means 14 judges whether the cut paper sheet is a stop allowed paper sheet or a stop prohibited paper sheet when the cut paper sheet is stopped on the conveyance path 12. An intra-region conveyance continuing means 16 instructs the continuation of conveyance to the stop prohibited paper sheet. |
