Transport and storage of irradiated nuclear reactor head

The transport and storage equipment for the reactor head (1) has one element (10) that surrounds the head (1) and is fixed to it using the holes (5) in its flange (4). The metallic structure (10) has cells filled with concrete to act as biological protection as well as a strong transport container. A second structure (50) goes around and above the first structure (10) to protect against external risks, e.g. dropping, and prevents access to the internal structure (10) during transport.
