Upright, for use in a divider system for building work stations or office layouts, for attaching a panel of such a system in position. The upright includes at least one open channel extending longitudinally to receive a connecting part on the edge of the panel and in which the channel includes a system for locking the said edge connecting part in order to fix the said panel in position, the said locking system being operable from the top end of the said upright.
