A pharmaceutical aerosol formulation which comprises particulate medicament, a fluorocarbon of hydrogen-containing chlorofluorocarbon propellant and a surfactant of general formula (I), wherein n is an integer of 1 to 18; m is an integer of 0 to 17; and R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are each independently a hydrogen atom or a C1-4alkyl group.
