The air conditioning unit (10) is divided into two evaporator construction groups (30) and one condenser construction group (32). Each evaporator group has one casing including an input air blowing unit (34) and an evaporator. The condenser group comprises a casing containing a condenser unit. In the direction (26) across the roof, the condenser group is between the two evaporator groups. The evaporator groups and the condenser group may be mounted individually on the roof of the vehicle. The evaporator groups may be directly connected to the condenser group, which may be in the middle of the roof.
