A catalytic converter for the exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine in a hybrid vehicle has at least one partially heatable catalyst support body (1) and a gas supply (3) that feeds a gas (G) into the exhaust system (4) upstream of the catalyst support body (1) and leads the gas into the catalyst support body, so that the whole catalyst is heated in a uniform manner.
