Actuating mechanism for friction clutch between IC engine and gear change transmission

The actuating mechanism comprises a piston (11) which is slidably located in the gearbox housing (2). The piston is coupled to a clutch declutching bearing (4) via actuating members, and coaxially surrounding a gearbox shaft (3). The piston is directly guided in a bore (12) of the gearbox housing, serving a functional face, or indirectly in a guide sleeve (10) in each bore. Pref. the guide sleeve is a radially spaced, deflected, double type. The piston may bound a pressure chamber formed by the bore inner wall and the guide sleeve. Alternatively the pressure chamber is formed by the guide sleeve only.
