The sports shoe has a sole (2) attached to the upper and provided in the instep area with a weak zone (6). This consists of a transverse groove in the bottom of the sole and facilitates the turning of the front sole relative to the rear sole about an axis running in the longitudinal area. At least one of the upper side parts (8) has above the instep area an insert (9) which is capable of extending and compressing. This insert is pref. made of an elastic foamed material and can be divided into strip like areas (13) by longitudinal lines or narrow surfaces (12) of lower extensibility and compressibility. USE/ADVANTAGE - The sports shoe gives a better bit with the shoe upper adapting to the foot movements.
