Drinking water supply process and assembly disinfects water with UV energy

In a process and assembly to produce drinking water, the water is mechanically and/or biologically cleaned and filtered. The novelty is that the water thus processed is then disinfected by a UV disinfection assembly (40). Also claimed is a method contg the steps: (a) the water is first passed through a sedimentation unit (10) in which suspended solids are removed from water under the influence of gravity; (b) the water then passes through a deep filter (30), and (c) the water then passes through a solar-powered UV-filter (40).
