The housing includes a wall with a section designed for a partially protruding section. The wall section has a blind (1) for the opening (2), and a flexible metal sheet (3) behind the blind. The metal sheet is disposed for spring contact with the component. A strip-shaped member (4) surrounds the wall section and contacts the metal sheet. The housing may be a disc drive housing, the blind (1) being operated to accommodate a diskette which contacts the metal sheet.
