The stop device for a door wing equipped with a door closer cooperates with a sliding piece which is connected in the manner of a rotary joint to one end of an actuating arm coupled to the closer shaft of the door wing and which engages into a guide rail. This guide rail is assigned a holding unit fixing the sliding piece in a specific open position. In order, on the one hand, to make it possible to integrate the holding unit into the guide rail and, on the other hand, to make it possible to override the stop position both in one and in the other direction as a result of increased exertion of force on the door wing, the holding unit has a catch boss loaded in the blocking direction by a spring member and engaging on the sliding piece.
