Methods of presenting stereoscopic displays using chiral liquid crystal materials (4) are taught. The methods include high spatial definition micro-segmented stereoscopic pairs of images for hardcopy, direct view and projection display applications (7, 8). The methods further include the creation and presentation of stereoscopic complete images that are compatible with existing video and motion picture standards.
