<p>A free fall separator for sepn. of plastics mixts. comprises two parallel rows of vertical tubes which either rotate about their own axis or are fixed and are connected to a D.C. supply for creating an electrostatic field. Tubes in one row are offset from those in the opposite row such that four tube axes lie at the corners of a parallelogram having no right angles.</p>
