The paper sleeves for inserting the tobacco are supplied in cartons which are opened and fitted with the temporary covers (31) for inverting and placing into the handling machine. The covers are pulled to one side and the sleeves feed onto the dosing roller (41) which moves them undamaged to the tobacco loading machine. The sleeves do not lose their orientation during transfer and are not damaged. The temporary covers allow a progressive opening of the cartons onto the dosing system. During the opening sequence the covers and cartons are shaken to encourage the sleeves to feed downwards. |
