An N-substituted phenylcarbamic acid derivative represented by the general formula (I): <CHEM> Äwherein R<1> is H, a (C1-6)alkyl group, a halo(C1-6)alkyl group, a (C1-6)alkoxy(C1-6)alkyl group, a (C2-6)alkenyl group, a (C2-6)alkynyl group or a halo(C1-6)alkoxy(C1-6)alkyl group, R<2> is H, a (C1-6)alkyl group, a halo(C1-6)alkyl group, a (C1-6)alkoxy(C1-6)alkyl group, a (C2-6)alkenyl group, a (C2-6)alkynyl group, a halo(C1-6)alkoxy(C1-6)alkyl group or a cyano(C1-6)alkyl group, R<3> is a (C1-6)alkyl group or a halo(C1-6)alkyl group, each of R<4> and R<5> is a specific group, and Y is O or SÜ which is very effective in controlling powdery mildew, scab, late blight and gray mold; a process for producing said derivative; an agricultural and horticultural fungicide containing said derivative as an active ingredient; an intermediate of said derivative; and a process for producing the intermediate.
