In the use of an aluminium foil for chemical redn. of liq. and/or gaseous components (e.g. Co2) and/or as a detector for electromagnetic radiation (e.g. in the UV region), the foil is roughened and placed as a negative electrode in an electrolytic bath which opt. contains the components to be reduced and in which the foil is subjected to a potential and undergoes a photoemission process, e.g. using the electromagnetic radiation to be detected. |
