PURPOSE: To provide an air-conditioning machine, capable of maintaining an outlet air speed upon heating operation as well as an outlet air direction upon cooling operation at the same time, simple in structure and prominent in the appearance thereof. CONSTITUTION: An air-conditioning machine is provided with a heat exchanger 3, a ventilating fan 4 and the like, arranged in an air passage connecting a suction port 2 to an outlet port 7, both of which are formed on a main body 1, and an up-and-down air direction plate 6 provided in the lower space of the ventilating casing 5 constituting the air outlet port 7. A movable plate 9, capable of being appeared from and hidden by the tip end of the ventilating casing 5, and a motor 9, synchronized with a motor 6a for driving the up-and- down air direction plate 6, are provided in the lower space of the ventilating casing 5. According to this method, the area of the outlet port 7 is reduced to maintain an air outlet speed higher than some range upon heating operation while the air passage is extended substantially to maintain the air outlet direction in horizontal direction upon cooling operation. |
