<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a video bit stream(VBS) [including plural high-priority segments (HPS) and low-priority segments (LPS)] from a transmitter to a receiver. SOLUTION: A transmitter first transmits the high priority information (showing the HPS) of VBS through a facility using a 1st packet distribution sequence (PDS) and continuously transmits the low priority domain (including the LPS) of VBS through a facility using a 2nd PDS. At the receiver, the high priority domain is received and used for generating the HPS. When the respective LPS in the low priority domain are received, the additional HPS is interleaved with the received LPS in real time and an interleaved VBS is generated. The high priority information is transmitted as the high priority domain (including the HPS), as a high priority format (to be used by the receiver for generating the HPS) or as a high priority identifier (to be used for identifying the stored HPS at the receiver).</p> |
