PURPOSE: To obtain a laser rangefinder which has a small rangefinding error by obtaining a time difference and correcting a distance. CONSTITUTION: A means 9 for obtainingΔt1 measures the timeΔt1 from a start pulse 6 generating time to the time for generating a clock 8 initially by a clock generator 4 after the pulse 6 is started. A means 10 for obtaining t2 measures the timeΔt2 from a stop pulse 7 generating time to the time for generating the clock 8 initially by the generator 4 after the pulse 7 is generated. A correcting means 11 corrects the distance to a target obtained by a calculator 5 by using the obtainedΔt1 and theΔt2 .
