PURPOSE: To provide a stereoscopic picture display device capable of omnidirectionally observing by which a display object is observed in an optional direction just like the display subject is held in hands. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a picture display part 1 keeping a direction where the picture is displayed constant by using a gyroscope device, etc., a transparent capsule 4 housing the picture display part 1, horizontal and vertical rotating encoders 2 and 3 detecting a difference between the directions of the capsule 4 and the display part 1, a direction detector 9 calculating the difference between the directions of the capsule 4 and the display part 1 by using output from the encoders 2 and 3, and a picture generation part 10 generating the picture displayed on the display part 1 by using output from the detector 9. |
