PURPOSE: To form a high-contrast picture by using an alkali generated utilizing a complexing reaction and to obtain a picture forming method excellent in film property, luster of the picture surface and releasability when the photosensitive material is placed on an image receiving material and processed. CONSTITUTION: A picture is formed in the presence of a metallic compd. sparingly soluble in water, a compd. shown by the formula and water. In the formula, A is the cycloalkyl group or heterocyclic ring group each capable of having a substituent, a condensed ring can be formed, and M is alkali metal, ammonium ion or an org. base. |
