PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iodine adsorption agent having an org. base in which a plenty of a silver salt or elemental silver can be contained and by which abrasion of silver bonded to radioactive iodine and serious disorders owing thereto in regenerating facilities can be prevented. SOLUTION: An iodine adsorption agent contains silver or a silver salt on a porous, temp.-resistant and acid-resistant org. carrier with an average pore diameter in the range of 6-200 nm. The adsorption agent has a pore diameter distribution in which 80% of the pore volume is contained in pores whose diameters lie within the range of ±50% about the average pore diameter. |
