<p>PURPOSE: To avoid unsatisfactory conduction of an oxygen sensor, and cope with thermal environment in a catalytic converter device for an internal combustion engine, which is arranged under floor of a car, and provided with the oxygen sensor. CONSTITUTION: An installing boss 21 is welded to a small diameter portion of a small diameter tube, which boss 21 has an abutting portion thinner than a lower end. An upper half case 2 of a catalytic converter device 1 is arranged oppositely to a bottom surface 33 of a recession 32. An oxygen sensor is installed on the installing boss 21 so as to direct a zirconia tube downward.</p> |
