摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To maintain the extent of separative performance in adjusting a center distance between paired rollers by driving and transferring a sheet to these rollers respectively from a route connected to the first output side of a differential mechanism and another route connected from the input side via a frictional transfer means, and connecting a means, adjusting the center distance of these paired rollers, to the second output side of the differential mechanism. CONSTITUTION: When a sheet is thicker than the preceding one, and load acting on a feed roller 3 is larger than the value set up by a friction mechanism 73, a slip is produced in this friction mechanism 73 and thereby rotation of the feed roller 3 becomes slower. If rotational frequency becomes slower than a rotation in time of stoppage of a carrier 55, the carrier 55 rotates a separate adjusting shaft 65 to be rotated in a direction where a center distance between the feed roller 3 and a check roller 4 is increased. With this constitution, a load on the feed roller 3 is reduced, and when the rotational frequency of the feed roller 3 becomes equal to that of the feed roller 3 in time of stoppage of the carrier 55, this carrier stops, whereby the feed roller 3 and a paper feed roller 1 both rotate again by dint of frictional force of the friction mechanism 73.</p>
