PURPOSE: To suppress variability of the exposure value due to a change caused by a subtle change in the position of a subject in the background in the correction value for the exposure value even if the change in the value is more than a specified one by storing a value corresponding to the past correction value for the exposure value and modifying the latest correction value based on the stored value. CONSTITUTION: The CPU100 stores a value corresponding to the correction value for the exposure value at least once experienced in the past and modifies the latest correction value based on the stored value. For example, when tracking and photographing a moving subject, a change occurs in the correction value for the exposure value in accordance with a subtle positional relation in the background. If the change becomes a large value exceeding a specified value range compared with the past correction value, the correction value for the exposure value is changed to 'the previous correction value for the exposure value plus the specified value'. However, when the change is a small value exceeding the specified range, the correction value is changed to 'the previous correction value for the exposure value minus the specified value'. Thus, the variability of the exposure value depending on the change in the correction value for the exposure value can be suppressed. |
