PURPOSE: To make a cam for driving a lens compact by executing such control that an optical system is stopped after it is driven in the direction reverse to the moving direction once for a prescribed time when a stop signal is generated to the optical system while it is driven. CONSTITUTION: The moving range of the optical system is constituted of a first area from a focal distance 30 to a telephoto end T and a second area from the focal distance 30 to a wide end W. When the optical system is driven so as to follow the tracks of loci 31, 33, 34 and 36, it is stopped after the rotating direction of a motor is reversed when the stop signal of the lens is generated. That means, such control that the optical system is stopped after a driving means is driven for the prescribed time or by prescribed driving quantity by switching the driving direction so as to be moved in a second(or a first) direction once is executed by a control means in the case that the stop signal is generated from a stop signal means when it is moved in the first(or the second) direction in the first(or the second) area. Thus, a cam groove need not be provided with a play corresponding to backlash and it is made compact. |
