PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF SR-FERRITE

The high coercive force strontium ferrite based ceramic magnetic fine powder is manufactured by (a) preparing amorphous gel type precursor from the mixed aqueous solution of strontium nitrate(Sr(NO3)2), hydrous ferric nitrate(Fe(NO3)39H2O) and basic substance such as ammonia water, (b) firing the precursor at 800-900 deg.C for 1-3 hrs. under thermal shock. The strontium ferrite based ceramic magnetic fine powder has the coercive force of 6,000-6,700 Oe and their particle size is in the range of 0.02-0.05 micrometer.
