PURPOSE: To remarkably improve the operability of a spiral sleeve winding machine. CONSTITUTION: A winding machine winds a spiral sleeve 11 at an aerial wire 22, and comprises a pair of excess length containing means 20 disposed separately from the aerial wire 22 to contain the speed 11 wound on an aerial wire 22 in a spiral state, and rotating means 21 for rotating the pair of the means 20 in reverse directions around the wire 22 to wind the sleeve 11 on the wire 22.
