PURPOSE: To provide a door device for an operation part of an air conditioner capable of opening and closing the door of the operation part horizontally and vertically depending upon the installation position of a body. CONSTITUTION: An opening is provided in a front cover 2 corresponding to an operation part 5 on a front surface of a body 1, and semi-spherical bearing parts 5b are provided at opposite ends of at least one facing surface of the opening part while knobs 6a are protruded at upper and lower portions and the left and right of a front surface of a synthetic resin door 6 serving to open and close the operation part 5. Further, substantially L-shaped holding parts 6b for holing a spring and support holes for supporting a spherical shaft are provided at four corners of the door 6 corresponding to the bearing part 5b, and the shaft and the spring are directed vertically and mounted. Hereby, when the left or right knob 6a is pulled, the left or right support shaft escapes inwardly of the door 6 against the spring and the door 6 is rotated to the left or the right using the right or left support shaft as the center of the rotation. Also when the support shaft and the spring are mounted directed horizontally, the door 6 is rotated upwardly or downwardly with the same function as before. |
