PURPOSE: To achieve a photographing of a section in multiple directions with a simple operation concerning a probe for ultrasonic diagnosis which allows the varying of the direction of a piezoelectric vibrator arranged within a shaft. CONSTITUTION: This probe has an oscillation mechanism 13 to oscillate a piezoelectric vibrator 12 arranged in a housing part 15 attached to the tip part of a tubular shaft 11 about an axis parallel with an ultrasonic transmitting/ receiving surface 18 and a rotation mechanism 14 to rotate it about the axis vertical to the ultrasonic transmitting/receiving surface 18. The rotation mechanism 14 is made up of a base 20 provided with a convex spherical surface part 24, a receiving base 20 in which a concave spherical surface part 25 having a curvature enough to be mated with the convex spherical surface part 24 is formed to support the base 20 by getting the convex spherical surface part 24 mated with the concave spherical surface part 25 and a wire 22 for oscillation which oscillates and energizes the base 20. |
