PURPOSE: To provide a mechanical translation device which can improve the processing efficiency for correction of translated sentences in another language that is designated by a user. CONSTITUTION: When a display is requested for the sentence translated at a translation part 2 in another language, an another language dictionary consulting part 5 consults a dictionary 1 by the surface word of a pointed original language and displays all translated words on a display device 9. When one of these displayed equivalent is selected, a retranslation method judging part 6 synthetically judges the dictionary information on the permuted and unpermuted translated words and the original language dictionary information related in the dictionary 1 and decides the most effective retranslation method. A retranslation instruction part 7 designates a language used for translation and instructs the part 2 to perform the retranslation through the original sentence analysis processing. Then the part 7 designates a language for translation and instructs tha part 2 to perform the retranslation through the translated senence production processing and also designates a language to be permuted and instructs the part 2 to perform only the language permutation and application processing. |
