PURPOSE: To provide a metal can for aerosol and manufacture thereof which has which corrosion resistance against aerosol compositions containing dimethyl ether. CONSTITUTION: A base coat layer 6 of thermosetting resin comprising, as principal components, one or more resins selected from the group consisting of epoxy resin, polyester resin, acrylic resin, epoxy-ester resin, and containing a curing agent made of phenol resin or amino resin is provided over the entire inner surface of a shell 4 of can. A top coat layer 7 made of isocyanate thermosetting polyester resin or ester modified thermosetting epoxy resin is provided over the layer 6. The top coat layer 7 has a thickness of 30-80μm. The layer 7 is formed of powder coating material of resin. The base coat layer 6 has a thickness of 3-10μm. A metal can for aerosol 1 is manufactured by forming the layer 6 over the entire inner surface of the shell 4 and forming the layer 7 having the aforementioned thickness over the layer 6 using powder coating material. Particle diameter of the powder coating material is 25-50μm. |
