METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING THERMOPLASTIC RESIN FOAMED MOLDED OBJECT

PURPOSE: To continuously mold a foamed molded object having a fine closed-cell structure by infiltrating inert gas such as CO2 gas into a resin in a high pressure state to melt the resin and injecting the molten resin into a mold to foam the same. CONSTITUTION: A pelletized resin 2 is transferred to the pressure-resistant chamber 4 fitted with a stirrer 5 arranged to an injection molding machine and, after CO2 gas is infiltrated into the resin under stirring in a high pressure state, the resin is transferred to a cylinder 11 having a screw built therein held to a high temp. and high pressure state to be melted. The molten resin is injected into a mold to be foamed to continuously mold a foamed molded object having a fine closed-cell structure. Therefore, the foamed molded object having the fine closed-cell structure can be continuously molded by injection molding and a molding time can be shortened and the wt. of the molded object can be reduced.
