<p>PURPOSE: To maximize the number of part items common to planetary gear type transmission devices of a forward four-gear type and a forward five-gear type. CONSTITUTION: A forward four-gear planetary gear type transmission device is composed of two pairs planetary gear devices G11, G12, three clutches K1, K2, K3, and two brakes B1, B2. A planetary gear device G13 and a brake B3 are added thereto to obtain a forward five-gear planetary gear type transmission device. First to fourth speeds in the forward four-gear type serve respectively as second to fifth speeds in the forward five-gear type. One speed step is newly added where the planetary gear device 13 is related to the transmission operation. Low fuel cost is secured in the forward four-gear type, due to the over drive (fourth speed).</p> |
