<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a radar apparatus by which an effect is displayed when a pilot judges a situation by measuring the distance up to the earth's surface of an obstacle in the front direction by utilizing that a phased-array antenna changes a beam direction at a high speed, computing an altitude of the earth's surface from the measured distance, a mother-airplane altitude and an LOS angle, and displaying the altitude on a display as a contour line. CONSTITUTION: Altitude of the earth's surface is computed from distance information obtained in a signal processor 9, a mother-plane altitude and an LOS angle. On the basis of data which has been stored in a memory 11 and which is displayed on a display, the data is converted into display data by means of a graphic processor 12. In addition, the data is displayed on the display 13 as a contour line.</p> |
