PURPOSE: To provide a bathtub having a safe handle capable of helping the motion of a bathing person, and saving space by integrally providing an irregular handle, extending from the upper edge part of the upper side edge of the bathtub to the side edge part. CONSTITUTION: A bathtub body 1 is formed of a bathtub 2 and an upper edge 3. The upper edge 3 is situated on the upper outside of the bathtub, and formed of an upper edge part 4 and a side edge part 4 as the thickness part on the outer circumference, and an irregular handle 6 is integrally formed so as to be carved, extending from the upper edge part 4 to the side edge part 5. Since the handle 6 is used when a person stands up from the sitting state in the bathtub 2, or tries and gets into the bathtub 2, it is desirable to be formed in about the middle position on the longitudinally axial side of the bathtub 2 which is the position for the person easy to catch in this state. Thus, the bathtub body 1 is never enlarged, and the handle 6 itself is safe without being protruded. |
