PURPOSE: To improve image quality at the time of performing copying in a photo-mode. CONSTITUTION: As for an image forming device with a function capable of copying a photographic original or the like in an excellent gradation, when a photo-mode selection command is given, a compulsory toner consuming operation is executed by driving the photoreceptor drum 40, electrifying device 42, the developing device 44, the cleaning device 48 or the like, the toner concn. in the developing device 44 is detected by simultaneously making the auto toner sensor turned on. The compulsory toner consuming operation is performed by uniformly applying the electric charge over the effective width whole area of the photoreceptor drum 40, forcing the toner to statically stick on the effective width whole area of the photoreceptor drum 40, and scraping off whole of them by the cleaning device 48. Moreover, the compulsory toner consuming operation is continuously executed until the output value of the auto toner sensor comes in the optimum range of the photo-mode time. |
