Conventional installations include jacketed (double-wall) tanks inside which the mass to be drained is poured. The drawback with such tanks is that pockets of liquid form within the mass. In accordance with the invention and in order to prevent this drawback, columns 4 or walls 8, composed by a bundle of chains with links 6 or similar elements, with different link sizes, are arranged inside the tank 1, said chains or similar elements being stretched from the top of the tank to the bottom of the tank. The liquids trapped by the adjacent masses circulate via said chains. The links of the chains 6 located in the outer part are smaller than those on the inside, thereby acting as a filter. <IMAGE>
