The invention relates to a pivot window (pivotal window, tilting window) provided with guide grooves across which a linked, continuous chain of an even number of equally heavy, inflexible or not readily flexible, flat, planar bodies having about the same height as the pivot window and alternating with small flexible connection pieces can rotate, a wall fastening automatically ensuring a vertical rest position via a fastening cord on both sides of the pivotal axis at one pivot-window height or higher above the pivot window. It is an object of the invention to increase the useful vertical space on the wall by employing a simple tilting movement to bring the inflexible or not readily flexible, flat, planar bodies suspended too high up, too low down or upside down to the ideal operable or visual height.
