Dibenzo-quinolizine deriv. of formula (I) and their acid-addn. salts are new. X = H, halo, CF3, 1-3C alkyl or one or two 1-3C alkoxy gps.; Y = H, halo, 1-3C alkyl or 1-3C alkoxy; R = OH, OMe or NR2R3; R2, R3 = H, 1-4C alkyl, 2-methoxyethyl, 2-aminoethyl, 3-aminopropyl, 2-(dimethylamino)ethyl, 3-(dimethylamino)propyl or 2-piperidinoethyl; or NR2R3 = morpholino, pyrrolidino, 1-piperazinyl, 4-methyl-1-piperazinyl or 4-Boc-1-piperazinyl.
