A lock construction and the use of an oval Scandinavian standard cylinder intended for doors as a lock bolt. The lock construction includes a lock housing (1) having a passageway (2) in which a lock bolt (3) is guided for axial movement between an open position and a locked position in which the lock bolt (3) or a first part of a latching device (20, 26) carried by the lock bolt (3) coacts with a coaction means. The lock bolt (3) has a lock cylinder that can be operated with a key to move the first part of the latching device out of engagement with a second latching device part (26) connected to the lock housing (1), when the lock bolt is in a locking position. |
