Disclosed is an insect repellent composition comprising at least one active ingredient from the group of compounds consisting of: 1,2,3a,4,5,5a,6,7,8,9,9a,9b-dodecahydro-3a,6,6,9a-tetramethylnaphto [2,1-b] furan; 4-(tricyclo[5.2.1.0<2,6>] decylidene-8) butanal; 1-ethoxy-1-(2'-phenylethoxy) ethane; acetyl cedrene; propylidene phthalide; and tridecene-2-nitrile. Also disclosed is apparatus and a method for testing the efficacy of a substance as an insect repellent. |
