摘要 |
The cartographic correlation system estimates the position of the vehicle in a given reference frame. The position is correlated with map data stored in the system. The map represents the road network in which the vehicle is travelling. The correlation has a graphic correlation that defines around the estimated position of the vehicle a zone of position tolerance and determines the elements of the road network falling inside this zone. The path of the vehicle is stored at successive positions and sampled to facilitate recognition. The correlation method can turn the trajectory of the vehicle to obtain best correlation with the map to determine the vehicle heading.
