Launching of electromagnetic decoys from aircraft

The launcher for electromagnetic decoys has a launch structure provided with multiple chambers housing decoy carriers. An ignition device sends ignition signals over a transmission link to give successive ignition signals. The body of the decoy carriers has a sliding drawer open on one of its large faces and associated with an ejection charge placed facing the ignition transmission. Each decoy carrier (2) has a cover that clips over the drawer (23-27) to close the large face. The edge of the cover is closed with an air inflatable joint, which give progressive release of the cover. An explosive charge launches the decoys after a controlled delay.
